Product Update - 21.1 of Norton Internet Security and Norton AntiVirus/Patch

Last night I got the new patch so I downloaded it and it was successful.  I always run Norton Updates twice just to be sure. There was another patch available as well and it was successful. 

Now my issue is, there are two computers in the house.

They are connected by an ethoric (spelling) cable. My computer did not have the new patch available. I noticed a while ago that a patch was available, but I did not get it on my computer either.  In the past, I got the patch with no problems.  What could be the problem if any?

 

If I do not get the new patch soon I will download it manually.  I will wait a week or so.

Any information would be well appreciated.:cathappy:

On the computer that has not received the patch navigate to, automatic download of new version, and check the switch is set to on?

Its under settings, computer, updates on NIS 2012.

 Thanks for responding so fast.  I found it under administrative setting and it is set to ON . I forgot to mention that Comcast is our internet provider. I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

What is the version of Norton Security Suite (NSS) (Suppport > About from the maon page of NSS) on the system that did not receive the patch?  If it is  not on 20.4.0.40 it will not receive the Patch.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The version I have is 20.4.0.40. There was no problem updating the last time  to the new version. .  It is just not working this time. As I mentioned in my first post, there was a patch a while ago and I did not get that either.  It only came on the other computer.

I will Waite a couple of days and then update manually if there is no other solution to this issue.

Let's forget about the patch for the time being and try the following:

 

Navigate to:  http://constantguard.comcast.net/norton?cid=NET_33_601

 

Click on the Get it Now button and select Run when the download pops up.  Let it do it's thing. 

 

It may ask for a reboot while it is running. Go ahead and reboot and then it should install, activate and you can check to see if the version number is 21.1.0.18.  If ir is, then go ahead and run LiveUpdate (rebooting when requested) until LiveUpdate responds "no updates found".

Thanks, I guess I should intall Constantguard.  I do remember that Constanguard had an issue with FireFox crushing at one time. I hoping that issue has long been resolved.  I hope this works .:catindifferent:

It did not work.  Constanguard did not install I have not notron products at all.  I went to add remove and no Norton Security Suite is listed in add remove programs.

 

Just send me a link  so I can install the new version.   If I have to install the new version should I run the Norton Removal tool in order to install the new version?:womanfrustrated:

Issue is resolved, I decided to install it again and it worked.  :cathappy:

Glad you got it working - FWIW - the Link i provided with the Get It Now button was for only NSS - there was no CGPS download involved from that link.
