I have had Safety Monitor installed for some while and it has been working fine until recently when I noticed that in the Admin account I no longer saw the paw icon in the system tray. Unlike on previous occasions (and the experience of other users) I could still get onto the internet and so could the kids on their accounts but of course their activity was not being monitored (nor, I guess, being constrained).
The settings (online) are unchanged from when they were working previously and they recognise that Safety Monitor is 'running' on my computer (which technically does not appear to be true!).
The Norton Online service is shown as an Automatic startup but not started. I cannot launch it manually ("..service specific error code -1"). The Event Viewer seems to show that it is trying to start up right after NIS but apparently not succeeding.
I don't recall installing any new programmes in the last week or so.
Do I have to uninstall and start again? If so, using what process? Or is there a more direct solution?
