Simple question; I can't seem to find a simple answer. How many computers can I protect with a single anti-virus subscription? I have a desktop and a laptop, and assume I can protect both with my subscriptions, but I can't find any confirmation of that. Where do I find information relating to that question? Thanks.

Its all right there under the price.
1 Year Protection for 1 PC‡
You can check which version (on how many PCs you can install it) you have on the norton account site.
Log in here: https://www.mynortonaccount.com/amsweb/default.do, and check the protection for x pcs line in your actual subscription.
Hi ddigger,
Welcome to Norton Community!
The Answer is: It depends on which Norton product and version you use. Certain Norton products like Norton AntiVirus/Internet Security 2009 can be installed on 3 computers using the same product key. In that case, you need to purchase only a single subscription for the Product Key. After subscription renewal, the same will reflect on all the 3 computers. To check all these information, better consult with the Symantec Customer Servicesthrough this LINK.

Which Norton Product(s) are you referring to?
Edit: Corrected spelling.

That is not universally true in that in some markets they come in single PC as well as 3 PC versions (and 5 & 10 as well but not so widely seen in stores although I have seen the 5 PC version)
If you go on line to Norton to check what version you have or can get, make sure you go to the website for your locality -- you can select the region/country by clicking on the country at the top right of the screen where I see United States.
Just in case you are in Australia <g>

Hi huwyngr,
I agree that there are both 5 User Packs and 10 User Packs available. But, normally, if you go and purchase Norton AntiVirus/Internet Security 2009 from Symantec Store or any other retail store, it's a 3 user pack by default unless "5 User Pack" or "10 User Pack" is mentioned along with the Product name(during purchase you can easily recognize it).
Here is the LINK for purchasing Norton Internet Security 2009 5 User Pack. Hope, this makes more clear to you.

It depends upon from where you have purchased the Norton product, especially for Norton AntiVirus. So I suggest you to provide the product information so that we can help you.

Yogesh -- I know what you say is correct but in International terms it is not necessarily true.
Please believe in the accuracy of what I say which related to the world market. We do not know what market ddigger is in but you may notice my lighthearted reference to Australia (because "digger" is Australian slang)
I just checked the Australian website and although they list the NIS2009 as 3 PC the NAV2009 is single PC
Even here in the USA the local office supply store I use has NIS2009 on the shelf in 1 3 and 5 users.
