Protection from the cloud, similar to the Kaspersky Lab

Hello!
I have to say to speak English poorly. So maybe I'll write with grammatical and syntactical errors.
And so, decipher the name of the topic. At Kaspersky Lab protection from the cloud works with all parts of the program (anti-virus, Web Anti-Virus, Proactive Defense, etc.) in real time. At the base of the cloud is added Detect virus before it reaches the usual base.
For example, you check out the file. And obviously it will be much faster instantly send MD5 file in the cloud (cloud will check the MD5 with its own database and sends the information to the user about the virus or not) than the drive-code file of all known signatures. Thus it increases the speed of the scan and provides operational Detect virus. It's simple and logical.
I'm not sure, but I think that Norton is also a cloud - now it is fashionable. But I do not know how it works. I think that Kaspersky Lab is working exactly as it should, and if it is possible - borrow (if not already done so), they have an idea. The level of security is clearly enhanced.
Here are a couple of videos, which show cloud Kaspersky Lab technology (one of the video in Russian, but there still can be understood visually):
