Protection Policy

Issue abstract: Nervous

Is anybody else concerned that Norton is admitting that the product is less than perfect if they are willing to refund my money if they miss a virus that could cost an order of magnitude more to recover from? That is not much of a guarantee,

@smr01 Are you referring to the webpage in the link below?

Although Norton is one of the top rated A/V solutions, users like myself, should understand that. No security product will ever be 100%. If you find one that insists they are, it would be advisable to look elsewhere. We shouldn’t walk away from it but rather run.

The landscape for infections in todays environment online, is driven by those who actively seek to gain access to corporate, business and consumer systems for financial gain. Good antiviral protection, staying on top of security updates are strong practices toward the prevention of becoming compromised, but, one practice is astutely overlooked by consumers. Good personal online hygiene. No A/V company will ever have any control over what anyone downloads, the websites they use, or other social hygiene that may put them at risk. That in itself, IS, the risk.
