I got the white x on the red ball on the Norton Icon.
As usual, I did the FIX NOW. It started the fix and then switched to UPDATE Norton 2011. Since my subscription was current I clicked OK. It did the install and seemed satisfied.
Now the red ball has been there for a couple of days and when I try to FIX it says: PROTECTION UPDATES .... NOT FIXED.
It IE tries to block e-mail and various web sites, but will allow overide.
Using Windows XP home edition.
Any help would be appreciated. from Salzburg, pb
