Protection when using Free WiFi

Yes. Norton protects from incoming issues to your computer with a WiFi hotspot.

 

You still have to be wary of what you send out if you are not using an encrypted connection. Norton cannot protect you from that. Be wary of entering any passwords if unencrypted.

   Adding to peterwebs Comments. As soon as your Computer connects to a Network, norton Classifies that network as Protected by default. Check the Pic below for various Trust Levels that you can assign through the Network Security map. To view the Network Security Map: NIS UI --> Advanced --> Network Security Map.
