There is another behavior I have noticed that I haven't seen documented.
After a computer has been turned off for a couple of hours, it won't pick up a Pulse Update until an Automatic LiveUpdate occurs in one of the documented scenarios (when the machine becomes idle, or 6 hours after the last one). Only after that does it start getting Pulse Updates.
We've identified the issue with Automatic LiveUpdate not recognizing Bug's network configuration, and we are working towards a resolution. We will update the forum with more information when it becomes available.
I'm also having the same issue. I can do a manual live update and receive both the regular updates and pulse updates. However, if I leave "Auto Liveupdate" and "Pulse updates" on to do their work by themselves - I don't receive any updates or pulse updates. I already reinstalled the software three times and did use the norton removal tool in the process. I don't have any other virus/spyware programs on the computer except windows defender which is switched off.
Autolive update and Pulse updates are never shown in the CPU usage window. They remain on "never" under the "last run" column and the status is "not run". My "streamset.dat" file modification time never changes unless I run a manual update.
Any need for my logs to look at as well? Or does this sound like the exact same thing that "Bug" is dealing with? I'm running 64bit vista home premium by the way.
I have sent you additional instructions via the community Private Messenger system, please look for the in the upper right hand corner of any community page. This will help determine if this is the same issue Bug is running into.
Could you show me the method to solve the problem, I also meet the same problem with you. The status of Pulse update is never and every term of the CPU usage window is NEVER, I can only do liveupdate Manually. I use traditional Chinese version also. OS is windows vista Ultimate SP1. Could you help? P.S. I use 3.5G modem to surf the internet(by the manufacturer's connection software, not windows default). Is that the root cause?
