I purchased NIS 2011 for up to 3 PC's today and when I tried to after downloading and installing it told me I  only had it for a 15 day trial and would I like to buy it for $49.99. What Gives?  Where can I call to talk to someone about this problem if it can't be resolved here?

If you bought it online from Norton then you should receive an email with the KEY in it that activates the trial version and converts it to the purchased version -- no functional change but just that the purchased version will continue working for the period you purchased.

 

If you did not receive the email check your spam or junk folders and check at your ISP to see if it was blocked there as spam.

 

If not then as Yaso says, contact Norton Customer Support -- online CHAT gives the best results and you need to contact the group for your country/locality like USA/CAN which Yaso gives -- if you are elsewhere you can change the country at the top where it says United States -- just click on the map .....
