Purchasing extra licences for Norton 360

Hi

I have Norton 360 version 4, and have used all three licences.  I would like to find out if I can buy an additional licence for another computer, or do I have to buy a whole new set?

Thanks

Fiona

Hi, Fiona,

Welcome to our community!

Have you set up your Norton Account?

If so, you can find the option there to  "Protect Additional PC"; this allows you to add licenses one at a time after your original three are all in use.

Before doing this, I would also suggest that you visit the Norton Update Center: the current version of Norton 360 is 5 (and 6 is likely to be released in a few months, since it has already entered Beta testing)...and as long as you have a current Norton subscription, you are entitled to free upgrades to ensure you have the best protection Norton can offer!

I'll be back in a few minutes with those links....

Hi

Sorry for being thick, but I tried to 'buy a key', and it took me to the online shop, but I don't know where to go after this.  It seems to be the place where you would buy a new product, and I can't find how to buy just another key.

Thanks

Fiona

Not sure I understand. It sounds like you're there. You should be able to buy your new license and continue.

My own Norton license has also used all its three installs, so if you still can't do what you're trying to do, give me a few minutes and I'll try to duplicate what you're seeing on my machine so I can walk you through it....

I have the exact same problem this morning.  When I go to "Protect Additional PC's",  it only gives the option to buy 3 more licenses.  Don't see any ability to buy just 1 more.  Thanks, Brian

Brian,

Please contact the Norton OnLine CHAT service as below since we have had feedback I'm sure I remember that they were able to get converted from a 3 PC version to a 5 PC version in a helpful way.

To contact customer support Click on this link and work on from there. You may have to scroll down a little to see the CHAT button.

Feedback from users tells us that CHAT is by far the best at resolving problems. This uses your computer keyboard, not the phone.

Note that that link is to the USA/CAN website so if you are located elsewhere I'm sure you will be able to find the equivalent location on your local Symantec website; some pages have a link at the top right where you can select the country you are located in.

Please let us know how you get on ....

To close the loop, I did go to chat with support.  They confirmed that 3 is the limit.  If you want add additional computers, you have to buy an additional 3 licenses.  Ugh

Hi

Thanks Brian.  I'll do that too.

Fiona

I did find a special promotion for $40.  Follow the link below.  It is Norton's site

Sorry but they were wrong, or misunderstood your question:

You can buy N 360 in 3, 5 or 10 PC packs ......

There is a saving according to that page but in practice you may find it cheaper to buy a 3 PC pack retail while it is on sale with rebates and use that on the additonal computers.

I see it on sale in the weekend flyers (ending tonight) for $39.99 at one well known store and it says None under discounts so that should be the checkout price (plus tax of course) so even on your 2 PCs that would be $20 per seat which is about the 5 PC price .......

Brian,

Just caught your additional post -- good find and it matches that store price I found.

I meant to say also that it is often worth checking in your MyNortonAccount by clicking ont the Special Offers button and seeing what is on offer there.
