Hey Gang,
I have a quick question about a computer issue which occured earlier this evening. I'm not a very computer savvy kinda guy, so not sure if I am safe from potential malware harm. I clicked into a legal website for research I am doing and all of sudden was redirected into a site which told me my computer was infected with multiple spyware/virus/malware issues. When I tried to close it out, a pop up window came up warning me about closing the window. While trying to leave the site I was refreshed into it three more times times. Each time I refreshed, along with the initial entry, Norton indicated that an intrusion had been blocked. Norton History reflects the time and date of the intrusion, the IP address it came from, its orgin URL (myprotected-zone.com), the application path, destination address and that it was blocked with "no action required." Moreover, Norton lists the severity as being High. I followed up by running a full system scan in normal mode right after the messages came up and all was normal, except for a few tracking cookies. This might seem like a silly question, but is the computer safe to conduct normal surfing and transactions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
