Question about Network Security Map in NIS201

NIS 2011
Vista Home premium 32bit
Vista SP2

Ok I have a desktop PC connected to a router (router has wireless capability) connectec to cable ISP

when I looked at my NIS2011 Network Security Map, it showed wired-secured. It also indicated there were 2 in network.
One tab was my PC. That makes senseBut The second tab indicated the following:
New protected
Device name: New
Adapter Manufacturer: Unknown
Category: Generic Device
Remote Monitoring: off
Trust Level: Protected
Connection: offline
Physical Address: (removed for security reasons for this post by me)
Address: 192.68.xx.xx
( the address is one digit different than the address under the tab for my PC)

so not sure what this devvice is. thought it was my router, but is says offline, and I was internet conneccted at the time. plus the physical address is different than the physical address of my router.
Wondering if it might be my laptop (hence the earlier post about finding physical address of laptop) which I think was for one time, physically connected to my router (but PC was disconnected from router when the lap top was connected, ethernet cable used)
wife got an iPhone, so dont know if she connected that to the PC one time.
Just not sure what this new device is.
No new printers or anything else
concerned what and who this device is.
I have checked security map several times today and this unknown device is offline
