question about norton activation policies

Hi,

I recently purchased NIS 2011 and saw that Norton account page lists the available number of installs

left for a subscription.  Essentially, I have it installed on a desktop and two laptops.  However, I will be

buying a new desktop in a few months and wiping the current desktop's hard drive and just saving it

for spare parts in case it's needed in the future.  Does Norton policy allow a way to "deactivate" a license

being used on a computer so that it frees up an available install?  If so, how do you do this?

I tried uninstalling on my current machine to see if that would do it but noticed that the available installs on my

Norton account does not change.

Thank you.
