I was interested in purchasing Norton Ghost for databackup/recovery, but I'm not sure if it would do my purpose or not, so I figured I' would ask someone who might know. 
I have a failing IDE hard drive, and have purchased a new drive, but the new drive is SATA, and MUCH bigger. Will Norton Ghost allow me to make a backup of the first drive, then restore to the second? Much of the data on the original drive is programs that I no longer have installation disks for, and I would rather not lose them. If so, then this program is definitely what I need, and what I should've gotten earlier!
