I have been using Norton products for many years, and have recently learned about Norton Security from an online chat with a Norton representative.
My subscriptions are:
Norton Anti-virus used on Windows 8.1 computer - expires in October 2015
Norton Mobile Security used on 2 Android devices and 1 iOS device - expires July 30, 2015
Norton Online Backup (25 GB) - expires April 2016
Although I don't have 10 devices, I'm thinking of purchasing Norton Security Premium ($59.99 introductory offer) to cover my Online Backup, and security for Windows, Android, and iOS devices.
Question 1: Is Norton Security a new app / stand-alone download? Or is it an umbrella term that simply refers to Norton Anti-virus for Windows Computer, Norton Mobile Security for Mobile devices, and a Backup agent that are merged under one annual subscription?
Question 2: I know that Norton can extend subscriptions if there is an overlapping subscription timelines. My Backup subscription goes until April 2016. Would they compensate/extend my new Norton Security that much?
My Norton Mobile security subscription expires soon, so I started looking to renew it, and discovered the new Norton Security-- hence my questions above.
I'd appreciate any help you can provide on my two questions above.
Thanks.
Jim
