question regarding updating NSW 2006 Standard.

I have Systemworks 2006 Standard edition installed (since 2006), and in 2007 I de-installed the anti-virus portion of NSW 2006, and installed NIS 2007. Since then I have replaced NIS each year, and just installed NIS 2009 yesterday.  Unfortunately, I now have the very well known problem with the Protection Center from 2006 not recognizing and/or integrating with my newly purchased NIS 2009.

In reading through these forums, (and the Update Center) its hard to tell whether or not I qualify for a free upgrade to the latest version of NSW.  The Update Center says : "Norton SystemWorks Standard customers with a current subscription are eligible to download and use the latest product version updates..." and other answers in this forum seem to state that since I am no longer using the NAV portion of my NSW 2006 Standard, the fact that my NSW is 2 years out of subscription doesn't matter, and I can plow right ahead and update.

Can someone from Norton tell me whether or not I can upgrade my NSW and get rid of this problem for free ?  NIS 2007 and 2008 worked fine, and it would have been nice to know there would be a problem with NIS 2009 before i spent the money and installed it...

thanks in advance
