Questions Concerning Moving from GHOST 15 to SSR 2013 Desktop

I've been using Ghost 15 on both my home desktop and laptop for over a year now.

With the announcement that Ghost is reaching end of life and is being effectively replaced by Symantec System Recovery 2013, I have a couple of questions.  Admittedly I'm a little disappointed that after just over a year I need to buy two new licensed products, but one can't stop progress so I'm willing to make the move to something that promises to be better.

I've downloaded the trial version on my laptop, and from all appearances it works just fine.  The reports are correct, if one is familiar with the Ghost UI, then moving to SSR is pretty seamless.  (The only quirk I notice is that although I already have a Norton Account, I had to create a separate SymAccount - strange, but OK, I've done so).

The trial is not over for the laptop, but I'd like to go ahead and purchase licenses so I can remove Ghost 15 and install SSR 2013 Desktop on both of my computers.  Thus my key question is:

1.  Even though the trial is not over on the laptop, how can I go ahead and purchase two licenses (two product keys) - and do I get a discount as a current Ghost 15 user for both products?

2.  Is SSR a "subscription" license, meaning do I have to renew a subscription (like for NIS and N360) annually?  (To me, that would not make sense).

Many thanks and warm regards,

Kelly

Redk9258,

Appreciate your reply.  I may just stick with Ghost 15 for the life of the computers, but I hope someone can reply with the purchase/discount info.

Kelly

The very top post in this section has links to the trial version (although it's missing the recovery disks).

If you sign up you will get a discount emailed to you in a week or so.

Thanks, Dave.  That's the link I used when I signed my laptop up for the 60-day trial.  I haven't received any discount coupon or anything else by e-mail since then.  Perhaps it will be offered when the trial period ends.

Kelly
