Questions: Installing Save and Restore 2.0

I am running Windows XP SP3
I want to install Norton Save and Restore, and the system requirements include .NET framework 2.0. My Add/Remove Programs lists .NET 1.1, so I guess I do need to get .NET 2.0. I went to the following page to download it, but it’s unclear which link to click for the required download: “http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en”
At the bottom of the page there are several links. The closest one looks to me like “Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 (x86)”. Is this the right one?
Also, that same page says I need Windows Installer 3.0, and 3.1 is recommended. I don’t know how to determine what version of Installer I have.

Can someone help out with this?

Another issue is that in addition to the $49.99 price, it forces me to subscribe to an $8.99 extended backup service to store my download for a year with Digital River. If I make backups of my installation file anyway, why is this forced on me?

None of the stores in my town have a boxed copy of this software.

Thanks,
Rusty
