Just upgraded to NIS 2009 and have a question regarding the "Idle time scans". What is the difference between the Idle time Quick Scan and the Idle time Full Scan ? Primarily when does each run? (The Quick Scan has already run but I don't know why - in NIS 2008 that would happen with each virus def update).
Also under the settings area there is still the option to manually run a Full Scan or even schedule a Full Scan - is this different from an Idle Time Full Scan?
Secondly, regarding LIveUpdate. I understand that NIS 2009 has its own integrated version and that if one has no other Norton programs, the traditional LiveUpdate can be uninstalled. What about the programs shown in Windows Add/Remove named LivReg and LiveUpdate Notice?
PS: I have Ghost 10 installed but it has never appeared in any LiveUpdate listing or downloads ( I assume that it is too old to receive any updates - which would only be program changes anyway.)
