I am currently using Norton Internet Security 2012. Everytime I switch on my computer the quick scan starts and there is no way to stop it as a result my computer grinds to a halt e.g it took 10 minutes to recieve a single email. Web browsing is impossible during the scan and calling the scan quick is a joke. It takes on average 20 minutes to perform the scan. That is 20 minutes when I am unable to effectively run my business. Is there any effective solution to this . Incidentally having a system like Norton Internet Security take control of my computer like this is an unacceptable intrusion into my private space.
