Hello, I’m having a persistant problem with NIS 2011. All of my setting options are turned on in NIS - including Insight Protection and Smart Firewall. But whenever I turn off/on, my PC - Insight Protection and Smart Firewall turn off automatically. When I log on my PC, it says NIS is off and needs fixing. I click “Fix Now” and it 1) turns on Smart Firewall and 2) runs QuickScan. Initial QuickScan results show no viruses or other problems. However, subsequent screen says that the fix was not completed, and has a red x by QuickScan. When I reboot, the same thing happens - Insight Protection and Smart Firewall have been turned off. I run the fix, it does QuickScan, says no viruses, then says fix is incomplete. I’ve run LiveUpdate and have processed all updates. I reboot after each LiveUpdate, and yet the same problem described above keeps happening. I don’t know if it is a PC settings or NIS problem. But it is very frustrating. Any advice you can provide is appreciated.
