Ok, I uninstalled and reinstalled from your link. Comparing the "about"s, it's the same version I had.
Already getting the same error message.

THeng,
The latest Norton Safety Minder is 2.2.0.28. You can find the version number by clicking the Norton Safety Minder icon in the system tray and selecting About Norton Safety Minder.
What is the version of Norton Safety Minder on your PC? When do you receive the error message, right after restarting the PC?
Thanks,
Katie
Yes, that is the version I have.
Errors started popping up within about 15 minutes or so.

Hi, as suggested, after installing and reinstalling it does not solve the problem. I read under Microsoft's support site (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/240437) that this r6025 error might be caused due to bad/defective registration of an application, so it requires me to reregister that 'problematic' application...may that be the problem? if so, how do I reregister the Norton Safety Minder?

I'm having this same problem on my computer. I'm running Windows XP SP3. Can you help me?

that Microsoft support article has instructions for re-registering the Microsoft redistributables. I would like to suggest attempting the steps listed in that article
Hi,
Just downloaded the lastest Norton Internet Security 2012 with latest Safety Minder (Safety Minder said to restart, and I did. Can't tell you the version because it just went out again).. Ran Liveupdate until there were no more updates. Windows XP SP3 32 bit / IE8
Keep getting these errors:
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Norton Online\Engine\2.2.0.26\ccSvcHst.exe
R6025
- pure virtual function call
followed a little later by
Symantec Service Framework has encountered a problem and needs to close.
I saw a thread http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Online-Family/R6025-Runtime-error/td-p/515848 where you are sending PM's to posters.
If there is a fix, why hasn't it been posted publicly???? Why are you sending PM's????
I am getting this error on 2 PC's. Please post or send a fix.
Thank you.

Hi,
I believe that the PMs were to instruct the users on what logs were needed, how to obtain them and where to send them. The 'fix' will be incorporated into an update, if it hasn't already. You might try using the NOrton Remove and Reinstall Tool found here: http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20110217171332EN to put a fresh copy of the product on your system. That might solve your problem. Let us know how it works out.
Hi dbdan22,
Please try these steps described in the post below to see if they help.
Thanks,
Katie
