What kind of sites do you go to? Do you have a comparison with NMS not installed or stopped? Keep in mind that on Android, memory is not released right away by design (OS, not NMS).
If that the question u asked from me erik, then i would answer every type of site like yahoo, gmail, technology site like neowin, automotive sites, ect ect...!! the list is long..!!
Before installing nortoni checked the exact ram usage, it was near 200 mb free out of my 512MB in my sony mobile. but after norton istalled as it consumes 40-100MB and does not free up after sometime..i have to restart the mobile to free the memory. clearing cache does not help in anyway.
Not a problem about the list.
I'm a little confused though. You're comparing free RAM before with used RAM after? Do you have a used RAM before and after comparison? Memory usage on Android isn't going to be tied to the Cache. Have you tried stopping the procees once done?
Maybe this might help explain what you're seeing. Android is designed to take a running process and move it to the background when no longer in use. This is especially true on Android 3.x and 4.x. Removing the memory is actually not supposed to occur until one of a couple things occur. The process is stopped/killed (either through Settings > Applications > Manage Applications or through a task killer), the OS determines that a process is taking up too much memory and automatically kills it or the device is restarted. Does this help?
