Ran NRNR twice but Norton still not working properly

A few days ago my system, Norton Internet Security, was suffering from the Auto-Protect problem like many others.

While waiting for help on the issue Norton ran an update which I downloaded that seemed to fix the problem.

Today I tried to run a system scan and got an error code 3038,104. Auto-Fix tried to fix it and even said the fix was "successful" but it didn't work cause the problem continued.

I did some investigating on Norton's support website and found that the recommended fix was running NRNR.

So I ran NRNR and then ran Live Update(LU) to get all of the most current updates. After running LU 3 times and restarted my computer, my Norton finally said I was all up to date. I proceeded to scan my computer like before and I got the same error as before. NRNR did not work.

I ran NRNR again. This time though after completing NRNR I decided to run a scan before running the LU and the Quick Scan(QS) worked fine. I then ran LU which included a patch and then tried to run a scan. The scan was successful. I ran LU again and after completion I was prompted to restart my computer which I did. I then tried a scan again and it was successful. Ran LU again, the third time, and I was once agin prompted to restart my computer which I again did. After the reboot, I tried to scan and THEN got the same error message as before all this started. I then actually ran another LU to see if there was an update to fix the problem but Norton said I was all up to date.

Clearly there is an error in the last bit for updates and NRNR doesn't fix the problem. Norton needs to address this and stop telling people that NRNR will fix the problem cause it doesn't.

Anybody got an answer outsides running NRNR or "Norton knows about the problem and is working on it?"
