Rank-R-Rator question

I don't think I had seen this discussed:  Can a forum contributor go backwards in rank if they do not logon for a while or perhaps if they simply don't participate for awhile?  Unless of course the information is protected under the secret formula rank-r-rator act of 2008 (or whenever the forum was officially formed).

Just wondering,

No; you can only go Up or Stay the Same Rank.

K, Thank you Red.   I wonder if it is possible to go back in rank if one requests to do so.

Anyhow, was simply wondering, thank you again for the answer.

Actually, I think a couple of us went backward for a while.   I was a super keylogger crusher for a while and then back to keylogger crusher.

Floating Red also said in this thread that he went from super contributor to regular contributor

At the time, the Forum People Changed the Requirements for R.C. to S.C. and going backwards must have something to do with the Forum Software being Updated or the Requirements being Changed.

Ah, that explains it. I remember contributors discussing going backwards in rank and wondered if it was a time issue vs. contributing or if it was something else.

Thank you for the info,
