Hi,

I have Norton 360 on my laptop but somehow McAfee Securty system has appeared on my laptop...I was unaware of this download...can someone tell me what to do? Should I unistall it without damaging Norton?

Thanks so much...I have unistalled it...but can oyu tell me how it got on my laptop in the first place as I didnt download it.

If its a newly purchased computer,it must have come along with the computer ...

 

Is not,Is the computer used by any one else in your family...There are chances that they have installed in..If its not pre installed with the computer,It requires manual installation ..

If the program was McAfee Security Scan Plus, then it is just an on-demand scanner that is often bundled with other downloads, such as Adobe Reader.  The installation is usually selected by default and will install the program unless you deselect the option prior to starting the installation process.  Whenever you install or update a product always carefully read each screen during the download and installation sequence in order to avoid unwanted additional programs.
