I was forced to re-install Norton products. To re-install, I had to provide new email + new password. In process, I lost about 250 days from original subscription. Answers I have already gotten from forums no help. Why is this such a difficult problem to deal with?

Usually when users have to reinstall their Norton products, they do not have to change User Name and Password. As I told you before, your best bet is to contact Customer Support. They are the ones who deal with Account issues. Once you get into your Norton Account, then you can install your Norton products and also get the keys from your Norton Account. I don't know how you lost 250 days from your subscription, but that is another thing to take up with customer support
