Hi folks. Just a note to let you know the mission was a sucess! I removed nis08 first and then
installed nis10. Sucess. Sure, not a giant leap for mankind or anything , I was just curious as to
the preferred order as to removal of the old and installation of the new. Both programs being
from the same company I wondered also if the downloaded defs would transfer to the newer
version(nis10). No dice. Since I was asking the pros ( youz guyz) I knew I'd learn what's what.
So, I removed nis08 first (and without the need for the removal tool, which was suggested if
necessary) and then installed nis10. Quite painlessly I must say. And as informed my initial
updates download was 70 something megabytes since the freshh program uses fresh updates
wheather I had them before or not. Long story short everything is ship shape. I also learned the diff
between MHz and GHz..as I had been wondering about system requirements re new program. My
ps has a 1.60 GHz processor and a system requirement for installation of nis10 was a 300MHz
or better processor or better.(sorry, my delete button doesn't seem to be working, hence
the typos). I thought cpu's were measured in GHz's only. Ofcourse I was informed by the pros(youz guyz)
that i had plenty of power. Afterward I found that 1 GHz equals 1000 MHz. Live-n- learn. So I'd like
to thank youz guyz for yer help. Thank you. New posting to follow re tracking cookies question. c
