I neither use an Apple device nor do I have any experience with Norton Hotspot privacy but it does appear that you are not alone. Mikept has posted in the Other Mobile Products forum that he also seems to be having a problem. I will suggest to the mods that this thread is moved over there (a more appropriate place as this does not seem to be related to the Norton Mobile Security app) and will try and draw it to the attention of Norton staff.
I do not know if anyone else with more experience with Hotspot Privacy or Apple devices may wish to comment further.
I decided that it probably was nothing on my end and to not stress over it any longer yesterday ...
This morning I re-installed everything and it works fine.....
the error I was getting was that no internet connection was available which was incorrect, so I would suggest to Norton that they try to provide better diagnostic information to users...
The other thing that happened yesterday was NHP would not "give up" in trying to make the VPN connection and this kept my iPhone offline until I deleted the VPN profile ... that seemed like overkill but I could find no other way to get NHP to get out of my way ...
