I have a lot of reocurring security events that has me worried. Sometimes it says they were blocked or removed yet they keep showing up in idle scans.
One in particular started happening about a month ago. It's actually a Trojan file. I usually get a red warning pop up from Norton when it occurs but I'm either on a site that has no security risks or I'm working in one of art programs without actually having my browser open at the time so I can't see where I'm getting it from.
It says it's blocked but when I look at the details it gives me a file name in my temporary internet files. I've looked for in there but didn't find any so is it really being blocked? If so why do I get the warning pop up from norton when I'm not surfing. I know I'm online always when my pc is on but how do I avoid this site if it occurs when my browser is closed.
here's my info
OS - Windows 7
HP entertainment laptop dv6 series - less than 6 months old
NIS version 17.7.0.12 (I believe it's 2009)
I got this app for a year - free from a review site (for being a top contributor or something like that) I don't know if I can upgrade to 2010 without having to start a whole new paid subscription. I would prefer to have the latest version and finish out my time if that's possible. I had asked tech support in a live chat - way back when I first got this but they said they didn't know
