My current computer is a desktop running windows 8.1. I have a hard drive from another computer that I now need to read and/or use the files. I can see some of the files which are widows system files and when I open them, there is no content. The files I want to see and use are grey rectangular boxes carrying the file name Bill-PC_C_Drive00. This was the computer name I used for the old system which died. The files have file types .v2i, .iv2i, and .sv2i. I have no idea what these files are, but may be important ones to me that I wanted to save. I no longer have my copy of Norton Ghost, but in trying to install Norton Ghost from another person, my computer indicates that I cannot install it in windows 8.1. I googled the file types and was told they are Norton Ghost file types. The name given the entire hard drive is Clone Drive. Is there some way I can retrieve these files, or at least see what they are so I can decide if I need them anymore. If anyone has any idea or knows how to get these files back, I would be very grateful.
