Detailed description: recently noted phone activity compromised on my iPhone 18. Phone is not rooted (at least to my knowledge) nor known malicious app. ( typical phone with mundane apps.
Would love to know if someone has tamper with my account after several failed resetting passwords.
Product & version number: iPhone 12 Pro Max
iOS 18.6.1
No error messages or app found. would love some ideas to how to further look into the problem
Its like detailed personal iternaries and messages are no longer private. (you know that feeling when something constantly being amissed- I cannot say my recent resignation due to workplace abusive culture and difficulty in job application/relationship has no relation to this)
Seems like nothing has happened but in reality as if everything under the sun. I did reset with iCloud and recent installation of the Norton 360 devices. (Of course nothing is found ) I did suspect some sort of deceiving app at first but my iPhone is at iOS 18 with only App Store installations. Pretty certain devices are only mine and unsure how mirroring/leak is achieved.
Have you seen this information posted somewhere, or has someone said something to you? Having a feeling that something is amiss is not proof of any wrong doing towards you. If your itineraries and messages were sent to others, the information is already out there. Has any information from your phone from since your resignation been found somewhere?
The way the iOS is designed it is almost impossible to have something installed on your device without your knowing. Someone would have to have physical access to your phone to get one of the spy apps installed. And those kind of apps cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to obtain and are only used on high profile targets such as known spies, government agents, or very very rich individuals.
If you are really concerned, you can do a factory reset of your phone.
Yes. To a forum is out there but say if I send a message to you and those of your associate. To be able to render ones job resignation and difficulty application is already more than sufficient. I would agree no proof is found and thus the reason being here.
I do know iOS is some boxed system that is difficult in theory. However, to a keen eye and some inside job prob would do. (my suspicion) The cost do varyā¦. but that is not my concern. I donāt think one would like the fact that their phone info is leaked and constantly being taken advantage of.
I did try factory reset but retain use my iCloudā¦. however, as current observation I believe current status is the same. (sigh)
To confirm. These posts are for messages you have sent after your resignation?
Iām not sure that there is anyone here that can help you with your concerns. Iām quite sure that there would not be anything added to your iPhone that could be causing your issues. Maybe one of your accounts used for messaging might have been compromised/hacked. But there is nothing we can do here for that. You can only change your password on any such sites to secure those accounts.
Go to you tube and search for a channel called āHAMPTON LAWā and search for a recent video titled āLAWYER: How Cops Use Appleās NEW Tech to Spy on Youā.
In this video this attorney discussā new technology that Apple, Google, Android, and other telecommunication and OS providers are developing and installing real time SIDE SCANNING SOFTWARE on your device without your knowledge or permission, meaning that all your texts, images, pics, and scans are automatically flagged while ON BOARD YOUR DEVICE, then whatever the AI or OS software of that particular device defines as āILLEGALā, it then automatically uploads it to a specialized cloud server and flags it for LAW ENFORCEMENT REVIEW, then all the Cops have to do is GEO LOCATE YOUR DEVICE, and take you to jail at their leisure.
He explains it better than I can, but he recommends messaging apps like Signal or Whatsapp they take end to end encryption very seriously. So yeah, we basically are heading into a ā1984ā scenario and our phones are basically going to be the keys that lock us away forever.
That video also explains that this technology is only used by law enforcement or government agencies (FBI, CIA, etc). So if the OP here has been the target of this tech, it is not just someone in the company he resigned from that is hacking them.
I see. I just feel at the moment some illicit use is going on. Geo location isnāt new at this day and age⦠just the detailed mirroring āserviceā that can trigger more than some annoyance. After all, someone crooked is all it takes by your standard.
Thanks for the information tho⦠much comforting?
@Hackidfone Have you reviewed these sites at Apple? One thing Apple makes very clear on their site. Have you also conversed with Apple regarding your concerns?
For our customersā protection, Apple doesnāt disclose, discuss, or confirm security issues until an investigation has occurred and patches or releases are available.
No I havenāt. Tech support was quite rather limited and (useless) in a sense. Or should I say the response was along company policy blah blah blah. They did suggest resetting the password which I did. That is why I suspect something embedded in the appsā¦
or my IDs are probably compromised so the resetting process can be done elsewhere.
its funny when they suggest to keep the device up to date but all really one has to do is to obstruct the path to service address and push an OTA to the device with the software of their own.
would it be funny to inform you guys I found my amazing kindle actually somehow has flashed unknown boot ware after lending it to someone⦠(still functional and everything but highlights and and edits can appear without my knowing)
