I'm looking for recommendations on which program would be best to expand the partitions on a RAID 5 array.
The original configuration of the array was three 20GB drives, for a total of ~40 GB total, divided among 3 partitions. I have replaced the 20GB drives with 250 GB drives, letting the RAID card rebuild each drive as it was replaced. That worked fine, but of course left me with the same size partions and a ton of unused space.
What I want to do is (SAFELY!) expand two of the three partitions to make full use of the new drives. (The third is a utility partion Dell installed, which I will leave undisturbed). The environment is Windows Small Business Server 2000 on a Dell server with a CERC ATA array (not SCSI if that makes any difference). Also, if it matters, I'm running Backup Exec 11d for backup software.
Having read many of the posts in this forum, it appears that Ghost or BE System Recovery are the likely candidates, but I'm not sure which to buy. Opinions?
