Hi:
Sorry, I'm new to these forums. I've been using Ghost 12 for backup for a while now, but never had to recover anything. It was probably dumb on my part not to test it out, but I just got a new computer and have 2 months of backed up data when the new 500 MB SATA drive crashed in the boot sector so I have to RMA the drive. I've been trying to restore my data with a new drive, but Ghost doesn't recognize the backups, which are a series of filenames with numbers and fbf extensions. Since I don't need my OS backed up, I put everything in a directory called _Data so that I just back up the directory.
Norton Ghost's message says "no recovery point". Am I screwed since I never created one? How can I have run so many backups with no recovery points? I have 50 or so files that I can see when I browse the drive (250 GB external USB drive). Any help/suggestions would be great, as most of the photos are of my new baby who is only 2 months old, so the pics will be lost forever. :(
