Recovering my Computer without a SRD CD

This is my first attempt to fix a problem.

First, I purchased Norton Ghost 14.0 several months ago.  I suspect that a Recovery Disk was included with the Norton Ghost CD.

In chapter 14 of the users manual, the first section contains this sentence:

Note: If you can start Windows and the drive that you want to restore ..... the drive where your operating system is installed, you can restore the drive within Windows.

I assume that under these circumstances, it is possible to restor the drive without using a Recovery Disk.

Can I do that?

If not I must obtain a replacement for the missing Recovery Disc, and postpone my attempt at restoring my computer.
