4) Trying to understand Recovery Point Set backups: (Entire drive Image backup)
Is my understanding correct: The Base Point files created with the initial backup create an image of the drive as it existed at a given point in time. When run daily all subsequent backups are Incremental backups record any changes in the contents of that drive since the backup of the prior day based on the original Base Point. TO minimize the danger of having a corrupted incremental file, I’ve set my schedule up to create a new Recovery Point Base on a “weekly” basis on Sunday Evenings (Using the Backup Time Screen (Custom Weekly option). I’ve placed a limit on the maximum number of recovery point sets to 4 which will conserve space on my external hard drive. Anything wrong here?
