Refund query

I wasn't sure which forum to post this in, so I'm dropping it here...

I've been offered a refund by Norton after I made a complaint but they're asking me to email them my bank account details. As you can imagine, I'm reluctant to do this. The request came from someone titled Norton Executive Escalation Case Manager and it seems genuine but Norton already has this information because of my current subscription.

Does anybody know if this is a common thing? I don't like to give people my bank details unless I know they're for real.
