Registry problems after run registry cleaner in 360

Hi Everyone,

I keep getting these registry problems popping up after I run the "Run Registry Cleaner" in tuneup in Norton 360.

The problems are:      ProgID, "Access.Broker," reters to an invalid ActiveX/COM entry, "{F3BDC506-2C41-D006-786A-2894363FB4F7}."

and

The key, "CLSID\{DFEAF541-F3E1-4c24-ACAC-99C30715084A}," refers to an invalid application identifier, "{83B900D2-51E8-4B67-BD75-643C8F14BBD8}."

I have two HP laptops both running Windows 7 Home Premium (one 64-bit and the other 32-bit) with Norton 360 version 20.2.1.22 and Norton utilities 16.0 they both are running great except for the laptop running 64-bit; it is the one that is giving me the registry problems (See above registry problems); The other (32-bit) laptop gives me "No Problems Found" when I run the same registry cleaner. So if anyone has any suggestions as to way this is I would be grateful.

Mike

Is the computer with the registry notices running OK?

Registry cleaners can be dangerous unless you understand what changes to a registry key can cause.

Hi petterweb,

Thanks for your response to this matter and yes the aforementioned laptop is running "Great"!

I am just wondering why I am getting different out comes on two different laptops running the same programs?

And by the way  "Cute Mini!!"

As much as two computers may be the same, there will always be differences. With yours, you have one 32 bit and one 64 bit. The same programs may install differently on the two OS's, and subsequently uninstall differently.

The registry settings you see may be remnants of some software you have removed.

And the Mini is not mine. Mine was much cooler and faster...:smileyhappy:

Thanks for your replies to this matter and I do understand what your saying.

Thanks Again,Mike
