I have NIS 2011 installed on my machine with 1 yr subscription period. However recently my windows XP encountered a fatal error an now i am not able to start my OS. I think the problem can be solved by reinstalling my OS. However since i won't be able to uninstall my NIS prior to the format using the CD, will i be able to reinstall the product using the same CD and product key(i still have 270 days of subscription remaining) or is it essential to first uninstall the product and then format(which is not possible in my case!!!!) the PC. Will formatting the PC will in any way affect my subscription???? Any advice in this direction is greatly appreciated.
