My friend bought a copy of Nortons which had at least a year and a half service with being able to have a few people use this product. I was one of the people who put it on my computer and put in the code. Well I had to reinstall about 2 weeks ago and it tells my my product code is no longer valid and now I have a trial period. What should I do cause I had a valid copy? How do I go about getting the product working again and not a trial period. I looked up my profile but there was nothing about a product code so I'm lost as to what to do next. I think the main copy is registered under my friends name.

I just installed Snow Leopard; had lots of trouble with Norton for Mac 11, so uninstalled; cannot find the link to download again; moreover, when I sign in to my account it says does not have record of purchase:
I have the purchase receipt and the key/renewal code from January 2010. IF THERE WAS A WAY TO CONTACT NORTON, I WOULD, BUT THERE IS NO CONTACT INFO ON THE ENTIRE WEBSITE.
Does anyone out there know how to download Mac11 without having to repurchase when there are almost seven months remaining on the subscription? ..... There are lots of links for PC, but no re-download for Mac.

Who told you to remove it and why?
What product did you buy on line? Did you buy it from Norton's eStore or from one of Norton's authorized distributors or from someone unknown on the intenet?
When you buy a Norton product you get the product key with it inside the package if you buy a boxed product. If you buy on line from Norton they email you the key.
Please give us some more information in order to help you.

I'm not sure what subject this would be under. I had to do a system restore this morning. When it rebooted my norton icon was gone and I couldn't pull it up from the start menu so I started to install. Now I have a box that says initiating Norton Security Suite Please wait. Well it has been a good hour now and nothing has happened. I can't get rid of this box. It prevents me from turning my computer off so I've pushed the button to turn it off rebooted and there it was. I ended it in task manager and rebooted and there it was again. Now I don't think that I have norton and I have a norton box that has taken over my and I can't move past this. Any suggestions?
