Reinstalling Norton 360 after running the Norton Removal Tool...?

Reinstalling Norton 360 after running the Norton Removal Tool is taking forever- its on 5% after an hour or two! Is this normal? I have the cd, would it be quicker or because its 1 user 3 pc would it take up another one of my programs?
