Reinstalling Norton 360 and need key help

I have one copy of Norton 360 that will expire in about 30 days and is in use on 3 computers.  I recently purchased another copy of Norton 360 to use on a fourth computer.

I would like to purchase a third copy of Norton 360 to replace the version that will expire in about 30 days rather than paying the price to renew from Symantec.  There is a difference in price of about $20.

What are the exact steps to use the key from a third version of 360 that I will purchase to replace the copy that will expire in about 30 days and is being used on 3 computers?  I do not want to have to uninstall and reinstall the existing software on the three computers that are using the copy that is about to expire.

Thanks for any comments.

Hello hillbc

Did you purchase N360 version 5 for 5 pc's? Please see this link. It is possible to purchase a 5 package which would be good for up to 5 pc's. If you did this though, you could ask for a refund of the program you bought for the 4th pc.. If all the pc's have the same version of N360, then you would just have to add the new key a couple of days before they expire.

I would suggest you call customer support via the free chat program and see if you can get that pack which is good for 5 pc's and explain that you recently bought another copy for your 4th pc and the other 3 are going to expire shortly. They are the ones who handle subscriptions, and activations.

Please come back and let us know how you made out. Thanks.

The only problem with the five computer version of Norton 360 is the price.  I can buy two copies of the three computer version  for a total of 6 computers for approximately $50 less than what one copy of the five version costs.

You should be able to simply click on "renew" and a screen should pop up giving you the option to purchase or insert the key.  Insert the key.  As recommended wait until a day or two before the expiry of the first machine because all licences activate at the same time.  When you put in a new key instead of a renewal key, you lose any remaining days.  Don't wait until it expires.

If you have a credit card listed for any prior purchases, get hold of Customer service Chat and make sure that it is not set up for automatic renewal.

You do not need to uninstall Norton 360. You can just activate it using the new Key. Here are the steps:

  • Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet.

  • Start Norton 360.

  • On the bottom-right corner of the Norton product window, click Renew.

  • Type in your Product Key.

  • Click Next.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions.

  • When finished, review your subscription details, and then click Done.

Just reactivate using your new product key! You might want to upgrade also if you want
