Reinstalling Online Family - message re still have older version

I uninstalled Norton Online Family due to problems with its operation.  Then I rebooted, then reinstalled supposedly the latest version.  But after going through several steps, I got a message that said I am still working with an older version. What gives?  I noticed that all of my settings were still intact after the uninstall, which to me was strange.

 

The version numbers that show up under Properties are:  Safety Minder  2.0.0.48

                                                                                                         Framework and Datastore  2.0.0.71

 

If this is incorrect, how is it possible to install the latest version, when I followed the correct sequence of steps?

 

This product has not been performing properly ever since the update that we were told to do a week or so ago.

From where exactly did you receive the message saying you have an older version of Norton Safety Minder installed? Was it a prompt from Norton Safety Minder or a message displayed in Norton Online Family page while configuring settings for a child profile?
