Reistallation of NIS after error message

I have had to uninstall and reinstall NIS after an error message and looking at my account I seem to have used up one of my available downloads and now have only 2 of my original 5 remaining. Surely this cannot be right. If I continue to have the same problem I could use up all 5 just trying to fix errors. Where am I going wrong?? Any help gratefully received

reinstalling on the same hardware shouldn't use another activation but things do sometimes happen.

 

To reclaim your activation please sign into https://manage.norton.com/ with your Norton account details and go to the My Account tab.  Clicking on the trashcan icon will reclaim that activation.
