Remove Computer from License

Have Norton Internet Security with three computer on the license. One of the computers has failed (crashed, dead) and I have bought a replacement. How can I remove the dead computer and then download the program to the same license?

It only shows the installation dates.

I do not remember on what dates I installed each computer.

If uninstall the wrong one can I still reinstall it and keep trying until I get the right one?

Clicking the trash can icon doesn't uninstall the program, it just deactivates the protection, so in theory you could do that as long as have your Product Key handy to re-activate if you do the wrong one.  In Windows 7 you can go to Documents > Symantec to find your Product Key.

A better idea would be to install the Norton Management app on the two remaining PC's and give them a name of your choice, then you should be able to pick the dead PC.  When signed in to https://manage.norton.com/ you will have an option to download the app by clicking Add Device.

I went back to each computer still running and clicked on Norton in the program files under the start menu and right clicked on properties. I found the creation date under details.

Thank You for your help.

Do you have the link to the app you were talking about?

Maybe some day I will learn to read.

Found it.

Thank you

You can download the Norton Management app from the Norton Management site above, or from the UI in NIS.  Check this post for more details.

It mentions NIS12 but should be very similar in NISv20.

Edit: - I see you found it.  :smileyhappy:
