Remove Failed Device

One of my eight protected devices failed outright. Irretrievably. Just Win10 and all personal files backed up, so I'm not wasting time - but I need to recover the Norton 360 license from the device. Because the device is off-line (FOREVER), the steps to use license manager are useless. This has been an issue without solution for several years. C'mon Norton. We're paying money for better service than this.

Thanks

Finally, someone heard us after many, many months.  From MY DEVICES, right-click on an unwanted device and Rename/Remove options are both in the pull-down menu.  And it works.  Thank you.

Edit: just noticed

Remove Device is back

Remove License is back

Patoc. When you said:

What clap-trap.  Problem description specifically states the device is permanently off-line, but respondent recommends logging into device to uninstall Norton 360 to recover license.  It's the same verbatim "solution" offered to every user having license/device issues.  Strike three.

Bjm_ isn't telling you to "log into your device" sir. He is telling you to log into your Norton account online. You can accomplish that on ANY computer that has internet access. Your dead device isn't mentioned so please give his instructions a go to see what results you get. Let us know if we can assist further please.

Hello @patoc
Welcome to Norton Community

My Devices page > my.norton.com/extspa/devices
Note: the My Devices page in your Norton account is notorious for being incorrect.
The first thing to check is to open Norton 360 Classic interface on your devices by clicking on the Norton icon in the system tray and clicking on Open Norton 360.
Then click on Settings > Administrative Settings and be sure Remote Management is turned on.
That will allow the device to be listed in your account. It may take a little time as it is not instantaneous.

To get an accurate list of devices, log into your Norton account and click on the user icon at the top right, then click on My Subscriptions.
Then find your current subscription and click on Manage Licenses to see the list of devices activated on that subscription. (credit peterweb)
