Well I tried the 'Remove & Reinstall tool' but that didn't work..... I let it run while it was in installing mode and after 20 minutes it comes back and tells me to re-start so it can remove the 5.0 file. I re-started and that was it ......no Norton Security 360 6.0 on my computer .
I again downloaded the 'Remove & Reinstall tool' thinking it was waiting for it, then I get a message saying " FAILED TO DETECT ANY NORTON PRODUCT - PLEASE CLICK FOR MORE INFORMATION'.
Other words I had to manually install it myself. If the 5.0 file was removed, how would the tool detect the 5.0 version? The 6.0 seems to work now but what was the Remove & Reinstall tool suppose to do? The tool was a one-way removal tool. I think I went forward in reverse on this one...
