Removing Backup File

Hello..

I have a N_360 BACKUP folder that is 175gb in size and encompassing too much of my hard drive space.  I use an external hard drive to physically backup my files I wish to save and do not need this file.  I have performed the following tasks...

Initially the size of the BACKUP folder was 220GB and 45GB of files were deleted using this process.

I went to BACKUP form the Norton Suite

Click on back up -> manage back up sets.

Click on the tab where at the top.

Select the drive on which you have backed up.

Click on delete back up files at the bottom.

It will allow you to select the files are back up sets you want to delete.

This process DID delte 45 GB but again the folder has 175GB of files I would like to remove.  Please Advise...

Hi robbeach0870.

Welcome to the Norton Community Forums. :smileyhappy:

If you want to get rid of all your N360 backup then just go to the folder with your file browser (e.g. Windows Explorer) and delete the folder or the files in it.  If you want to just delete one set of backups and keep another then delete the file associated with the backup you no longer need.  There is no need to go through N360 to get rid of the actual files.  The manage backup sets option and choosing "remove backup set" prevents it from being run again.

I hope that helps.  If anything is not clear just ask.
