removing nav2007 before installing nav2009

a long story but my question is short

on my computer  windows xp sp3, i installed nav2009 then uninstalled it (it was a possible cause of some problems).  no other norton or other antivirus programs have been installed.

i want to now install nav2007 and leave it on my computer for a few weeks, just for temporary protection.

if everything is ok i will then want to install nav2009.

i believe i will have to uninstall nav2007 first.

can i just use the regular uninstall option or do i have to use the norton removal tool, or can i add a switch to the the uninstall command such as /clean (some programs have this option)

the question a little shorter:

what do i need to do to properly uninstall nav2007 before installing nav2009?

and i understand that when nav2009 is uninstalled it leaves the license info intact, will that mess up my nav2007 activation?

and if i need to remove that license info from nav2009 before installing nav2007, will i have trouble activating nav 2009 when i install it?

i guess the question wasnt so short :smileywink:

thank you
