We have a subscription to Norton Internet Security on my son's laptop. We have 2+ years left on it. He starts school next week. He received an email from the school's IT department with instructions on how to connect to the schools network. Apparently the school has an agreement with another AntiVirus vendor. In order to connect to the school's network, he needs to download the AntiVirus software offered by the school. The instructions say that prior to downloading the software, the school recommends that any other AntiVirus software that is installed should be removed.
Because of the subscription that he has remaining, I am reluctant to remove Norton unless I absolutely have to.
Do I need to remove Norton? Can the 2 softwares live together (for lack of a better term)? Or am I asking for trouble?
